Our Location
Based at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington, Oxford, the nursery is located just inside the Old Road rear entrance to the hospital, with easy access and drop-off parking facilities. Established in 2000, Pippins offers full nursery facilities and a high standard of equipment in a homely environment. The nursery has a purpose designed garden area, with a separate baby garden.
Our Nursery
We Provide
Registered day care for children between the ages of 3 months to 5 years. We are open between 7.15am and 6.30pm (earlier start/later finish by arrangement), Monday to Friday, 52 weeks a year, excluding bank holidays. Lunch, high tea, plus all snacks and drinks are provided. We offer a daily vegetarian option and will cater for special dietary needs. Baby formula and all first weaning foods are provided; breast feeding mothers are also accommodated. Nappies are provided free of charge.
Nutrition
Pippins Day Nursery has a qualified chef who prepares healthy balanced meals for the children every day. Fresh fruit and vegetables are offered daily, milk is given at snack time and water is available to the children throughout the day. We also offer a daily vegetarian option and will cater for special dietary needs.
Imagination
Management
Kate Walsh took over as Nursery Manager for Pippins Day Nursery and Nursery School in 2014. Kate is qualified with a BA in Primary Education and is a Forest School Leader and originally joined another of our nurseries in 2011 as their Early Years Teacher and Assistant Manager before being promoted into the Management role at Pippins.
Kate now has a little one of her own and so shares the management role with Kayleigh Mort. Kayleigh joined the Company in May 2017 and is fully qualified with a Cache Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education.
Aurora focuses on providing high quality childcare for working parents, by providing a flexible service, which accommodates both their individual needs and those of their children.
