Government Funding and Payment Options

Funded Hours for 3 and 4 year olds

Eligible parents of 3 & 4 year olds are able to claim to up to 30 funded hours per week for 38 weeks per year; however as we are a full year day nursery provider we offer funded hours on what is called a “stretched” basis over the whole year (51 weeks at Horton Day Nursery and 52 weeks at Pippins Day Nursery) which works out at a maximum of approximately 22 funded hours per week (for those who do not qualify for the 30 hours offer, then the universal offer of up to 15 funded hours will continue, and on a stretched basis this equates to a maximum of approximately 11 funded hours per week for the whole year).

We offer a maximum of 6 funded hours in any day to between 9am and 5pm .
Wraparound care hours not covered by the funded hours are charged based on a schedule of wraparound care fees for different session options.

A limited number of funded only hours are available between 9am and 5pm. The minimum requirement is 3 hours in any day with a maximum of 6 hours.

Tax Free Childcare

The government’s new Tax Free Childcare is replacing the old Childcare Voucher scheme for new parents and carers. Members of the scheme can pay into an online account, which the government will top up by 20% (up to £2000 pa), which they can then use to pay nursery fees.
